Time again for our anual holiday potluck gathering. In addition, Jim Shedlowsky will give us a talk on the history of the McMatch-Hulbert Observatory in Lake Angelus, Michigan. When operational, the observatory was at the forefront of solar observations. We have an early start to the meeting so we can relax and enjoy the holiday festivities before the presentation. Please bring a dish to pass.
We plan on observing afterwards, weather permitting.

Our signature annual event will again be held at the nature center. Bring your best chili and come on out for an enjoyable evening of chili tasting. Bring your chili and drinks, plus a dish/desert to pass. If you are not "accomplished in the kitchen", don't worry about not bringing chili. There will be plenty of chilis on hand.
In addition, we will be having a talk by Dr. Rajib Ganguly of U of M Flint - "The Universe Through Superman's Eyes".
Mark your calendars for this fine event. And as always, weather permitting, we will observe afterwards.
